Portrait Painting using wacom tab

WACOM TAB + PHOTOSHOP = AWESOMENESS

I bought my wacom tab during the second week of october and since then, digital art has not been the same for me. The possibilities seem endless. Along with purchase, wacom gave a free copy of corel painter. I have no experience using corel painter. The interface looks pretty much like photoshop. I tried to dabble with it but I had a tough time. So I shut it down and went back to good old photoshop. And I was blown away by the possibilities that photoshop has to help create digital art.

I started with drawing death of darksiders2. It’s coming along pretty well. I wanted a change of pace. And so I thought I should may be parallely start on another piece of art. And for that I thought of creating a painting from a picture. I was looking through a lot of my old shots and finally ended up using one of my own earlier portrait shots.  A friend of mine had taken a candid shot of mine sometime earlier this year. Using that image as a reference I made this painting of mine.
