Me, Myself and I
I shot this when I was in Cochin, Kerala for an official Trip. It was just office and back to hotel room for around 3 days. I had nothing much to do once I return ot my hotel room other than have dinner, watch TV and go to bed. That’s when I did this shot.
I placed the camera on a small table. And tool multiple shots of me using the self timer by sitting at different positions. Then I Layer masked all the image to reveal all the me’s in one single image. This process is called cloning, where you can produce multiples of your self or someone else in one single photos. Clones work best when you make a scene out of your clones. Like here I made it look like I’m talking to all the me’s. In fact that’s pretty much what I did. Loneliness can some times get you.

Me my self and I.

Irfan! I saw your post on the weekly photo challenge and decided to explore your site. Wow. I have bookmarked your site and will return here often. Fantastic photos my friend! I’ve always wanted to do the “cloning” shots, know how to do it but I just need the time. You’ve inspired me to try it on my daughter. Great job and consider me another subscriber!
Glad to have you here nando. Thanks for your kind words. Let me know if you need any help with cloning when you try the shot with your daughter. Good luck.
Very interesting experiment – and result! I do not hope the loneliness lasted very long….
Thanks. It did last for 3 days though. I did this on the 3rd day, an hour before left the hotel room to board my train.
a very interesting concept, well executed.
thanks alessandro
